Reading is Fun! – Out of School Time

Is there anything better than a new book? The children in Out of School Time each received several to take home thanks to our friends at Unitarian Universalist Church of Delaware County (UUCDC), who donated $1,435 for the project. The books, written by African American authors, were purchased from Hakim’s Bookstore & Gift Shop. Can’t wait to start reading!

Souper Bowl of Caring, Was Successful

The bounty of February has spilled into March. We received almost 6,000 pounds of canned goods and other non-perishables last month, thanks to local churches and community organizations collecting for the Souper Bowl of Caring. Their generosity continues to provide nourishing meals for our families. #souperbowlofcaring #cannedgoods #foodinsecurity #chestereastside

Spring Ahead!

Don’t forget to move your clocks up an hour before you go to bed. We may lose an hour of sleep tonight, but we gain later sunsets and longer evenings for months. #springahead #daylightsavings #sunlight #yeah #chesterreastside
