April is a busy month and our OST readers are learning about all its holidays – April Fools’ Day, Easter, Passover, Earth Day and Arbor Day. The best part – there are always “hidden” links around the classroom. Thanks to Miss Montana and the The Uncommon Individual Foundation – UIF.
Rev. Z will be among four Chester educators and leaders participating in the panel discussion 6-7:30 p.m., Wednesday (April 14) on “Education and Empowerment in Chester.” It will feature her work in partnership with Chester stakeholders and leadership in education and social justice.
The event is presented by The Petey Greene Program and co-sponsored by the Swarthmore College Lang Center’s program on Urban Inequity and Incarceration.

Many thanks to our friends at Congregation Beth Israel (Media, Pennsylvania) for purchasing Zoom licenses for the Virtual Out of School Time (OST) program. The licenses allow us to connect coaches (some of whom are synagogue members) with parents and children to continue to deliver vital academic assistance. #zoom #outofschooltime #ost #manythanks #chestereastside
Many thanks to Trinity Church – Swarthmore and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church for their generous gifts for projects in the Chester Eastside – St. Paul’s Community Garden. A donation from the Trinity Outreach Committee provided the needed funding for the garden redesign and a contribution from St. Paul’s was used to purchase the shed. We are blessed.
The garden is one of the many clubs offered in our Out of School Time (OST) program. #communitygarden #generousgifts #redesign #sheds #thankssomuch #chestereastside
