Today is 143 Day in PA, an homage to Mister Rogers. The number was his code for “I Love You.” Let’s all share acts of kindness and reflect on how grateful we are to have one another.
“When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’”
― Fred Rogers
The Chester Eastside – St. Paul’s Community Garden is now registered with the PHS : Pennsylvania Horticultural Society Harvest Program, a city-wide (and beyond) effort that supports community gardens and encourages distributing produce to food cupboards and local communities.
Our harvest over the past month has been 14.9 pounds of produce, which was distributed to Chester Eastside families and the food program. Wait until the crops really start to come in! #PHS #harvest #communitygarden #foodpantry #foodinsecurity #chestereast

We are in the process of completing our annual assessment of Out of School Time (OST). Thanks to Elizabeth and Sarah for serving as co-leaders and Eddie, Midge, Mrs. Redd and Leslie (who served double duty as the photog) for contributing their input and perspective. The month-long process involves observing several classes, discussing the findings and identifying program goals. #assessment #outofschooltime #goals #input #perspective #chestereastside
