We were all saddened on the passing of our dear friend and volunteer Barbara Macken. She believed in our mission and cared about nutrition – on Mondays and Wednesdays she could often be found bringing food, stocking pantry shelves, coordinating deliveries and creating shopping lists. She collaborated with Mrs. Redd to assure healthy and tasty food choices for our children throughout the school year and during Camp Phoenix.
Barbara was a blessing to so many and we will miss her tremendously.
